Xayaphone Mingboupha DuCharme

Xayaphone Mingboupha DuCharme was born in Vientiane, Laos and immigrated to the United States with her family in the early 1980s. Xayaphone is a military spouse to her husband who is currently serving in the Northern Virginia area with the US Army.

She is a stay-at-home mom to two young men who she has classically homeschooled since the beginning of their education. Both will be entering public school this coming year. A Facebook posting for the Dog Tag Fellowship Program caught her eye as she contemplated the next route as the homeschooling road ends. Through the fellowship, she hopes to gain the knowledge and tools essential to enter the workforce and to build a network of experts to help guide her to find “her voice”.

Her favorite baked good is an orange cranberry scone.
