Army Veteran

William Wright

William C. Wright, was raised in a Hispanic household outside of Los Angeles, CA, He drew inspiration from his disadvantaged single mother’s unwavering dedication to assist others while raising three kids on her own. After completing his General Education Development test, William found inspiration in his younger brother and they both decided they would enlist in the United States Army. William’s time in the military serving as a combat medic honed his skills in providing tactical care under fire. His willingness to learn and selfless service made him a great candidate to teach others life saving medical treatment. His potential was recognized while he was a private, leadership took a particular interest in him and quickly enrolled him in additional instructor courses. While in the service William graduated from Purdue Universities Health Science program with an associate’s degree achieving Cum Laude. William’s internal drive and motivation made him continue learning and he became an assistant instructor of Tactical Casualty Care Under Fire as well instructing Navy Corpsmen in their duties. William’s dedication to providing appropriate medical care to the members in his community increased when he quickly noticed low-income Hispanic communities received subpar care at the clinic where he worked as there was no translation services provided. His unsatiable hunger to help those in his community quickly intensified and he became the lead technician in his medical practice specifically serving the Hispanic and the Veteran population that requested services. Seeing the inaccessibility to care in his own backyard reignited William’s drive for learning and education. In 2023 he made it his mission to become a Physician’s Assistant, to achieve his goal, he enrolled Arizona State University to complete his bachelor’s in medical studies. William’s passion comes from his life experiences and the inspiration he draws from his mother’s ability to raise him and his brothers, as a single Hispanic female in California. William hopes to be able to make an impact in his community by providing continuity of care to those in need. Facing multiple moments of adversity, William’s face has become marred with experience and knowledge on how to overcome and progress in life. His mentor Dr. Troncone serves as a pillar of strength and fortitude consistently encouraging and providing William with a wealth of knowledge. Williams main goal in life is to help the underprivileged by providing consistent and appropriate medical care.
