Troy Daniel
Originally from St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, Troy Austin Daniel is a high-performance finance professional and decorated 20-year U.S. Navy Veteran. Throughout his distinguished military career, he specialized in large-scale fiscal governance and asset management, which
included supervising a $50M+ annual payroll pool at the Pentagon and negotiating over $5M in commercial acquisition contracts. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Development and Leadership from Saint Joseph’s University and graduated with 4.0 Top Honors from multiple military finance schools. Beyond his corporate background, Troy serves as a Financial Board Advisor for regional community organizations. He was drawn to the Dog Tag Fellowship to translate his structured operational discipline into micro-business fundamentals
and lean startup frameworks. Through the program, Troy hopes to bridge his institutional finance experience with raw entrepreneurial execution, building a definitive foundation for his long-term career pivot into private equity and venture capital. Ultimately, he intends to leverage this expertise to give back to the community by teaching financial literacy to veterans and empowering families in historically underserved neighborhoods. His favorite baked good is a classic chocolate chip cookie.
