Steve is a fourth-generation US Navy Veteran, who deployed three times in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom as an Aviation Ordnanceman and Force Protection Specialist, aboard the USS Enterprise (CVN-65).

Steve received his bachelor’s degree from George Mason University and has spent the last eight years in the military and veteran service-organization community, providing direct-programming and services to active duty service members, veterans, and their families. He is a tireless advocate for veterans of all generations, and has had the privilege of serving in various positions focused on legislative priorities, stakeholder engagement, constituency outreach, program delivery, and community partnerships.

Steve would like to develop as a leader as he looks to increase the positive impact he is able to have in the communities he cares so much about; he is especially driven to serve the underserved and use his influence to spread resources and opportunity as far and as wide as possible. Steve hails from Virginia Beach, Virginia and currently resides in Falls Church, Virginia with his wonderful wife Emilia. The two can be found most days walking around the Little City with their one-year old son Malcolm and their two dogs Sally and Reagan.

For his favorite baked good, the obvious choice to Steve is a chocolate chip cookie...though he’s trying new things here, so he’ll also go with a chocolate croissant.
