Sandra was born in Barbados but grew up in St. Croix, USVI and Richmond, VA. She attended Virginia Union University where she earned her B.A. in History and Political Science and was valedictorian of her class. Sandra also earned her Juris Doctorate along with a Bachelor of Civil Law from Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center and is a licensed Louisiana attorney.
Sandra is the proud spouse of a recently retired Army officer and the mother of two beautiful daughters. They have been stationed in Georgia, Louisiana, Virginia, Florida, Italy and Maryland. Due to the challenges military spouse attorneys encounter in obtaining licenses to practice when moving from state to state, she became a founding member of the Military Spouse JD Network (MSJDN) and previously served as the organization’s Florida State Director.
Sandra found out about the Dog Tag Fellowship Program while discussing her career aspirations with a friend and fellow MSJDN member. Through the Dog Tag Fellowship Program, Sandra hopes to learn the “nuts and bolts” of how to successfully develop, maintain and grow a small business.
Sandra’s favorite baked good is cheesecake.
