Army Veteran & Army Spouse

Rori Buchanan

Rori P. Buchanan is originally from Chicago, Illinois. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, Champaign, IL, and her Master of Arts Degree in Human Resources Management from Webster University, St Louis, MO. Not only is she a spouse of a 20-year Army veteran, she is also a recent retiree herself. She began her military career by enlisting in the Illinois Army National Guard, as a motor transport operator. She went on to commission as an officer and served as Human Resources officer in various duty assignments across the world, culminating as an Inspector General Team Chief from January 2017 to December 2023. Rori first learned about the Dog Tag program from her transition counselor. She hopes to gain the confidence and knowledge to take her love and passion for baking and turn it into a successful catering business with her husband. Rori’s favorite baked good is the one thing she loves to make the most… peach cobbler!
