Renee Monczynski served as a military police officer in the US Marine Corps. While stationed in Hawaii, she met and married Matthew “Mono” Monczynski. Matt was serving active duty in the US Navy, when less than a year into their marriage he died in an aviation accident. Ten years after Renee was honorably discharged to care for their infant daughter, she returned to service as a reservist in the US Navy.
After earning a BA in Psychology, Renee served as a Veterans Advocate, defending the rights and benefits of her fellow veterans and military surviving family members. Renee shares her love of learning and being in service to others by consistently volunteering with military-related nonprofits. Over the last 20 years she has supported Marine Corps League, Gold Star Wives, Inc., TAPS, and Young Marines. Her unwavering passion for supporting military-related organizations led to her latest career; creating a program for surviving young adults of military-related loss based on 5 Pillars of post-traumatic growth.
Renee recently earned her MA in Industrial and Organizational Leadership. She looks forward to utilizing her experience based in education, positive psychology, and coaching-style leadership to work with a team that embodies the ideals of service to others, legacy, and community.
Renee’s choice of bakery goodness is fresh, warm from the oven bread with butter.
