Nicole Delancey

Nicole is from Absecon, New Jersey. Nicole attended community college in NJ at ACCC and again later in Florida at Palm Beach State.

In 2006, Nicole joined the US Army. She was an MP in the 101st Airborne Division. Nicole became a mother in 2008 and was honorably discharged. She was a military spouse for five years after her term of service and remained a stay at home mom for another eight years until the pandemic hit. During the pandemic, Nicole was able to open her first small baking business. Even though she is completely self taught, she is thriving in her local area of Absecon. Nicole is also very involved in her community and coaches her daughter’s championship winning softball team.

Nicole was looking for ways to expand her current business and asked her local VetCenter for help. That's when one of the counselors recommended the Dog Tag Fellowship Program. Once she did her research, she felt the program was specifically designed for her. The skills obtained from the Dog Tag program will give her more tools to accomplish her dream of opening a storefront.

Since Nicole bakes most of her days, she is constantly surrounded by the sweet smell of freshly warm cake. Her favorite dessert to eat is tiramisu. Her favorite dessert to make is either strawberry cream cheesecake or strawberry shortcake with dark chocolate covered strawberries.
