Myrla Kiluk was born in Manila, Philippines and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated with a BS in Psychology from University of Maryland University College, an AA in Personnel Administration/Human Resources and a professional manager certificate through Community College of the Air Force.
Myrla is a retired Senior Master Sergeant with 23 years of military service in the United States Air Force. She has held a variety of base-level, field operating agency, multi-national/joint, major command and unified combatant command headquarters positions where her military career culminated as Superintendent, Office of Defense Cooperation-Turkey. Throughout her career, she was privileged to take part in multiple deployments in support of Operations Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, Joint Guardian and Continuous Bomber Presence mission with B-52s and B-1s in Guam.
Myrla is a life-long learner with a passion for world travel, culinary arts, and community involvement. She first learned of the Dog Tag Fellowship Program through a former superior/mentor who encouraged her to apply and explore entrepreneurship as a second career. She is grateful for the opportunity to be part of the program and hopes to learn more about herself, as well as gain hand-on experience and skills necessary to run a small business of her own.
