Double Chocolate Brownies with SHERO Dark Roast Coffee

Melissa is a native of Chicago and a 20-year retired US Army Human Resource Warrant Officer. She received her Master of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management Degree from Roosevelt University in 2018.

Since retirement, her passion for contributing to the empowerment of women and staying connected with those who served has grown. This led to the creation of Sip Nation, an online coffee subscription company. Her dark roast coffee brand SHERO is a platform that honors women who served.

Melissa also volunteers at her local VFW as part of the benefits team where she is privileged to onboard women veterans, hear their stories, and form bonds of support when they arrive to apply for benefits. Staying connected with women veterans has also enabled her to create local and virtual events for women veterans and women entrepreneurs.

Melissa found out about Dog Tag through a military conference and wanted to connect because they shared the same values and could support her dreams and goals. Through Dog Tag, Melissa hopes to increase her business acumen and connect with others.

When looking for the perfect treat, Melissa enjoys a delicious double chocolate brownie complimented with a cup of SHERO dark roast coffee.
