Army Spouse

Megan Rowley

Megan Rowley is a military spouse originally from Indianapolis, IN, where she met her spouse in ROTC at IUPUI. Although she did not commission, she has had the privilege of accompanying her spouse around the country during his active duty Army and now National Guard career.

A cancer diagnosis at 16 not only changed the trajectory of Megan’s life but also her perspective on overcoming adversity; an outlook that has served her well as she has navigated the ebbs and flows of military life over the past 11.5 years.

During her time as both an active duty and National Guard spouse, Megan has sought opportunities to volunteer and advocate for the military community. She has served as a Soldier and Family Readiness Leader and maintains active volunteer service on Joint Base Anacostia Bolling, with the DC Army National Guard and with Blue Star Families. She is passionate about food insecurity and overall well-being within the military community.

Megan was encouraged to apply to the Dog Tag Fellowship program by a friend and fellow volunteer in the military community. She hopes to utilize the fellowship soak up knowledge, develop new skills and gain confidence to pursue a new career path.

Her favorite baked good is tiramisu!
