Maurice Sloan

Maurice is originally from Midland, PA - a small western Pennsylvania town outside of Pittsburgh. Maurice’s adolescent years were spent in Tampa, Florida. Maurice earned both his bachelor’s degree (B.A. Sociology) and MBA (Human Resources Management) from Saint Leo University in St Leo, Florida. 

Maurice is a retired U.S. Army Veteran. During his service he first achieved the rank of Sergeant First Class (E-7) and later Captain (O-3) where he was responsible for directing Human Resources and Personnel Management activities for organizations ranging from 500 to 5,000 military services members and civilians. Maurice learned of Dog Tag via the Wounded Warrior Program’s (WWP) Post online event announcement. 

Maurice hopes to leverage the knowledge gained to find a career path that will bring satisfaction and fulfillment. He would like to be able to focus and structure his entrepreneurial spirit to start a business that can be a family business for multiple generations to come.

Maurice’s favorite baked good is hands down apple pie (but he will take anything with apples as a consolation).
