Director of Programs & Community Impact

Maureen Devine-Ahl

Maureen Devine-Ahl believes in the power of creating space for self-discovery, healing, and growth. She views Dog Tag as a dream job that taps into her professional experience in academia and entrepreneurship, her lived experience as a military spouse, and her passion for baking (and consuming!) baked goods.

Maureen’s role is to oversee the design and delivery of Dog Tag programming and to measure and communicate impact. She calls on her nearly twenty years of experience in nonprofits, academia, and social change to ensure Dog Tag serves the military-connected community in innovative and impactful ways.

Maureen holds a BS in Communications from Ithaca College, a MA.Ed. from The George Washington University, and is completing a Public Leadership Credential from Harvard University.

While not at work, Maureen likes to spend her time reading, baking, biking, traveling, practicing yoga and meditation, and feeding her curiosity in general. She can also be found teaching her daughter Elizabeth to bake and snuggling her dog Sienna.

Maureen is an avid baker and self-described “cake snob” who almost always believes it’s not dessert unless it’s chocolate. Her biggest baking achievement was baking and decorating her own 4-tiered wedding cake!
