Favorite Baked Goods

Morning Glory Muffin

Mateo Clough is from the Midwest and spent his formative years between Omaha, NE, where he was born, and Oklahoma City, OK where he graduated high school and initially attended college at Oral Roberts University (ORU). After serving a 4-year enlistment in the Marine Corps, Mateo returned to Nebraska where he completed his B.S. in Business Management and M.A. in Leadership.

It was during his graduate studies that Mateo joined the Air National Guard and shortly after 9/11 was brought back to active duty. He would subsequently deploy throughout his career to Turkey, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, and Afghanistan serving as Chief, Operations & Force Protection and S3. Mateo culminated his military career within the Domestic Operations (DOMOPS) field and was assigned responsibility for the Nebraska Guard Response Force (NGRF) before being medically retired after serving for 20 years.

Mateo first learned of the Dog Tag Fellowship Program through a Deloitte connection who had encouraged him to consider and apply. Mateo hopes to acquire from his Dog Tag Fellowship participation the requisite knowledge and soft skills to compete within today’s competitive environment, while building lasting relationships within the greater Dog Tag family.

Mateo’s favorite baked good is a morning glory muffin.
