Mary Waldo

A San Diego native, Mary met her Navy husband during her nursing journey. With dual master's degrees in healthcare and business, she brings 14 years of nursing experience and 21 years of military spouse service alongside her husband across 13 duty stations.

Her path has been defined by her commitment to veteran care. Working with the VA and caring for her veteran father, Mary developed deep insights into the challenges facing aging veterans and their families. These experiences shaped her vision of creating compassionate care environments.

Mary discovered Dog Tag Fellowship through Amplify with Hiring Our Heroes, recognizing it as a perfect alignment of her healthcare background and entrepreneurial aspirations. Through the Dog Tag Fellowship with Hiring Our Heroes, she sees an opportunity to blend her healthcare knowledge with her dream of establishing a veteran-focused assisted living facility. She aims to create a space offering more than medical support providing genuine understanding and comfort.
