She joined the military right out of high school as a 92B, Army Medical Laboratory Specialist. She attended classes at night and completed her BA as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist, from Wayland Baptist University which led to her being selected as a Direct Commission as a 71E Clinical Laboratory Scientist.
During a transition class from active duty, a counselor asked where her interests lay, once explaining that she wanted to make healthy treats for dogs, she was told about Dog Tag and loved the educational and holistic approach the program offered.
Her favorite baked goods; tiramisu, chocolate babka and cookies.
