Mark Vidunas was born and raised in northern California. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Mercyhurst University. Having always felt the draw to military service, he joined the U.S. Navy after graduation.
During his first tour, he deployed to the Pacific and Middle East to provide analytic support for Carrier Strike Group operations. His second tour brought him to the Washington D.C. area, where he continued to provide technical analysis in support of DoD operations.
He had always thought of pursuing entrepreneurship “someday”. But after the pandemic and leaving the military, he decided sooner was much better than later. Having next to no knowledge on how to start or run a business, he knew Dog Tag was the perfect place to start after seeing how much his wife benefited from the fellowship program.
While he’s excited to learn how to run a business from the Georgetown classes and get hands-on experience during the rotations, he’s also really looking forward to the wellness elements of the program; he believes both the Dog Tag Fellowship Program and community will be invaluable as he starts his entrepreneurial journey.
His favorite baked good is a (thick) chocolate chip cookie.
