Originally from Seattle, WA, Lauren completed her B.A. in Humanities from Washington State University. After graduating, she began her journey as a military spouse and has been very involved with all of the squadrons she has been a part of. She has supported her husband through pilot training, 5 cross country moves and 3 deployments. At their last duty station, Lauren volunteered as a Key Spouse who helped to organize events as well as make sure the unit spouses had a point of contact in the event they needed assistance or support.
A leisurely stroll around Georgetown led Lauren to discover Dog Tag Bakery and then in turn Dog Tag’s unique program and felt that the mission statement sounded like a perfect opportunity for her entrepreneurial spirit. Being a military spouse and having created her own home baking business at her previous duty station, the program will provide a greater wealth of knowledge and education appropriate for an entrepreneur as well as an opportunity to find a military-friendly network. Lauren hopes to gain a sense of purpose and direction from the program while establishing a new, exciting career path.
Lauren’s favorite baked good is a palmier or almond croissant.
