Air Force Veteran

Latasha Turner

Latasha Turner, originally from Chesterfield, Virginia, left home at 18 years old to begin her journey of uniformed service & joined the U.S. Air Force. After 20+ years of service as a clinician, administrator, data analyst, community outreach provider, training instructor, educator, public health analyst, & "other duties as assigned" she recently retired her combat boots for cowgirl boots & transitioned to Texas. She has a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management from Southern Illinois University and Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Dog Tag's holistic approach to entrepreneurship was key! Latasha was drawn to the fellowship based on how its blend of networking, career development, business-building skills, and self-care aligned with her be-do-have vision of a balanced, service-focused, impactful entrepreneurial journey starting from within. She saw an opportunity to meet and immerse herself in a community of like- minded individuals, eager to learn and grow together. She saw beyond enhancing professional skills but also a space to nurture her personal well- being & continue to grow as a well-rounded and resilient individual along her entrepreneurial journey. She saw herself as a Dog Tag fellow!

Latasha foresees an emergence of confidence, gained knowledge to use & share, and greater inspiration to make a meaningful impact wherever she steps foot along her path.

Her favorite baked good is carrot cake... because it's healthy... of course... it has carrots in it!
