Army Spouse
Latanya De La Garza
Latanya De La Garza is a passionate entrepreneur from Chicago, now based in Florida, where she operates 111 Bakery, a home-based cottage bakery known for small-batch, from-scratch baked goods made with intention and care. Her diverse professional background includes law enforcement, IT systems management, and paralegal roles, all of which reflect her deep commitment to service and structure.
Latanya is the spouse of an Army veteran who served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and the daughter of a Marine drill sergeant who served in the Vietnam War. She comes from a family rooted in tradition, resilience, and helping others. As a mother to three adult children, her desire to build a safe, supportive space is shaped by personal experience and a deep empathy for youth, survivors of domestic violence, and children who have been abandoned or overlooked.
She was drawn to Dog Tag for its mission to integrate purpose with entrepreneurship. Latanya hopes to gain the structure, mentorship, and community needed to scale 111 Bakery into a self-sustaining hub; where baking becomes a source of healing, skill-building, and connection.
Her favorite baked good is the butter cookie, a nostalgic treat that reminds her of the little buckets of Maurice Lenell cookies her grandfather gifted every Christmas.
