Katina Ruest

Katina was born and raised in Guatemala City, Guatemala. She attended the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Savannah, Georgia, where she earned a BFA in Graphic Design. It was during this time that Katina met her husband, who was an active duty member of the United States Army, and has been for over 16 years.

After living in Georgia for 15 years, the Army relocated the couple to Maryland where they now call Annapolis home. It was through the Naval Academy Spouses and Civilians Club, of which Katina serves as a board member, that she first learned about the Dog Tag Fellowship Program.

Katina and her husband own a coffee company and her hope is to expand her knowledge and network through the business and entrepreneurship program at Dog Tag.

Her favorite baked good is anything with chocolate!
