Kate Scoffield

Kathrine D. Scoffield is a spouse of a veteran as well as a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps from Gaithersburg, Maryland. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Campbell University and both an MS in Procurement and Contract Management and an MBA from the University of Maryland Global Campus.

During her military career, Kate served as a contracting officer, procuring supplies and services for both Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) in support of units and operations who couldn’t source their requirements organically. Kate also managed logistical coordination with U.S. Embassies and allied militaries during training and deployments.

Driven by a passion for service, Kate wants to learn how to manage and grow a nonprofit initiative that uplift underserved communities in Ghana, West Africa her country of birth. Additionally, she hopes to gain experience networking, exchanging ideas, and building skills to make a meaningful impact.

In her free time, Kate enjoys running—especially when the reward involves carrot cake or red velvet as the second option.
