Originally from Anchorage, Alaska, Josh received his Associates Degree in General Studies from Northern Virginia Community College. He then spent three semesters at George Mason University working toward his Bachelor of Individualized Study in Social Innovation Entrepreneurship.

Josh performed his first 4-year active-duty Army commitment as a Healthcare Specialist in the 3rd US Infantry Regiment: The Old Guard. He was also selected to join the Army Reserve under the Active Guard Reserve Program where he performed duties as an Operations Manager and Medical Readiness subject matter expert for the 5th Medical Brigade, an element of 1500 Soldiers.

Throughout his career, Josh always felt a deep sense of purpose toward educating and helping others achieve their goals. He stumbled upon the idea of opening a coffee shop for professionals and creatives while serving at the Old Guard and spent a great deal of time expanding on the idea that eventually led him to the Dog Tag Fellowship Program. Josh hopes to make lasting connections within his cohort and the Dog Tag Fellowship team while absorbing the knowledge of kindred spirits throughout the program.

Josh’s favorite baked good is a chocolate croissant.
