Johana Angélica Keating was born and raised in Bogotá, Colombia. She came to the U.S. in 2015, lived in Clifton Park for two years, and currently resides in Rockville, Maryland. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree as a Surgical Technician from University Foundation of Health Sciences in Colombia. She began her journey in the U.S. as an Au Pair, to learn the language and the culture, and she currently works in customer service. She is a fast learner, loves teamwork, does whatever it takes to get the job done, and enjoys challenges. Johana is a military spouse and part of the Army National Guard.
Johana heard about the Dog Tag Fellowship Program through an Amplify event from Hiring Our Heroes. She looked it up, after reading all about it, she decided this was the opportunity to learn how to be an entrepreneur and learn the basics to start her own business and make a dream come true. Johana loves baking and is looking forward to learning new skills, creating a network, and interacting with people with cultural diversity, being able to share experiences and learn from them.
Johana cannot pick one favorite baked good, but she enjoys lemon cake and cinnamon rolls.
