Jason Morey Hatch is from Riverton, Wyoming. He completed his BS in History at the University of Wyoming in 1995, his AA in French at the Defense Language Institute in 2004, his AA in Fine Arts at Lord Fairfax Community College in 2020, and is currently working on his MS in Political Science at Indiana University Bloomington.

Jason Hatch enlisted in the Army in 1988 and served until 1991 as an M1 Abrams Tank Crewman. He was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in May of 1995 and served in various leadership positions over the course of his career. Jason was in his second command for the Invasion of Iraq. He served as a Defense Attaché in sub-Saharan Africa for the remainder of his career and retired in 2013.

Jason developed a prototype for a product in 2019. However, he lacked the fundamentals of small business operations needed to get his business off the ground. The location, demographic focus, in-depth/hands-on approach, and program duration provided by the Dog Tag Fellowship Program makes it the obvious choice to help realize his entrepreneurship goals.

Jason expects to learn the fundamentals of business management. He also hopes to be able to reach back into the Alumni/Instructor knowledge pool to assist with future challenges he encounters.

Jason’s favorite baked good is tarte tatin.
