Jacob Hook was born in Xenia, Ohio where he graduated from Xenia High School in 2007 and attended college part time until 2012 when he enlisted in the Marine Corps. He deployed to Afghanistan in April 2014 and was promoted to Corporal after returning to the states.

Jacob deployed again in 2015 to Japan where he trained in Mt Fuji. When he returned to the states, he was greeted by his daughter, Aaliyah, who was born during his deployment. Jacob reenlisted in 2016 and relocated to Quantico, VA where he served as a Physical Training Instructor.

Jacob first learned about the Dog Tag Fellowship Program from a friend and alumni of the program. He believes that the fellowship program will be helpful in preparing him to transition to the civilian world after his anticipated departure from the military in August 2020. Jacob plans to gain as much knowledge as possible while gaining the skills to become an entrepreneur.

Jacob’s favorite baked good is cheesecake.
