George Jensen was born in Libera, West Africa, and came to the United States as a toddler. He grew up in New York, NY and graduated from Rice High School and soon after he joined the United States Marine Corps.

A veteran of the Marine Corps, his MOS was 3531 Motor Vehicle Operator where he did a combat tour in Iraq and later completed his military career doing a special assignment as a Marine Corps Liaison at the Bethesda Navy Hospital. At the hospital, he helped injured Marines from OIF connect with their families and get the help they needed.

In 2019, he started a vending machine business, but became discouraged and didn’t know how to properly run the business. As an alumni of the Wounder Warrior program, he was encouraged to apply for the Dog Tag Fellowship Program. By joining the Dog Tag family, he hopes to gain the knowledge and support to continue running his business.

George’s favorite baked good is oatmeal raisin cookies.
