George grew up on a small farm in Deatsville, Alabama where he attended Holtville High School. He joined the Army in 2012 and completed a 60-semester hour course of study in “Clinical Laboratory Science” through George Washington University.

He is an Army veteran and a current military spouse. He served 8 years in the Army as a Medical Laboratory Technician in both research and clinical settings. Additionally, he managed logistics for medical supplies, contracts, accounts, and credit cards for his Division. He honorably separated in 2020 as an E5/Sergeant. After leaving the Army, he made a vow to pursue a job or business that would bring him joy.

George heard of the Dog Tag Fellowship Program through his wife’s best friend. After learning about the program, he decided that it would be a great opportunity to pursue the promise he made to himself. George hopes to gain first-hand knowledge on the ins and outs of opening and running his own small business. Additionally, he is excited to develop new professional relationships, enhance networking skills, and to join a community of like minded professionals.

His favorite baked treat is a cinnamon bun!
