Conrad Hutson
Conrad Hutson is a native of Georgetown, Guyana, the only English-speaking country in South America. Guyana is renowned for its vibrant culture and rich history. He has lived in Brooklyn, New York, since 2017.
After migrating to the United States, Conrad enlisted in the U.S. Army as a mechanic. He volunteered for a combat deployment to Iraq, where he developed a strong sense of resilience and service. He completed his military contract honorably and transitioned to civilian life, eager to pursue his educational and professional aspirations.
Conrad earned a bachelor’s degree in Technical Management with a concentration in Criminal Justice from DeVry University’s Manhattan campus. He is pursuing a Master of Professional Studies in Homeland Security at St. John’s University, where his studies focus on emergency, disaster management, counterterrorism, and public safety. These areas align with his commitment to leadership and safeguarding communities.
In addition to his academic achievements, Conrad is deeply committed to giving back to his community. He has collaborated with several nonprofit organizations to support veterans and underserved populations, embodying his belief in the transformative power of service.
Conrad joined the Dog Tag Fellowship Program to develop his leadership and entrepreneurial skills further. He aims to create innovative solutions that empower others and drive meaningful change. Conrad enjoys riding motorcycles, exploring new cuisines, and traveling in his free time.
His favorite baked treat is coconut pecan cake.
