Christen Sumner

Christen is from Auburn, Alabama. She graduated from Auburn University with a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies with emphasis in Human Development and Family Studies and Psychology. 

Christen met her husband while he was stationed at Fort Benning, Georgia. After their last assignment in Fort Polk, Louisiana, they settled in the DMV area in January 2020 where her husband now works in the private sector.

Christen has a passion for health and wellness. She recently completed her Holistic Nutrition Certification through AFPA and enjoys sharing what she’s learned with friends and family. She views health through a holistic approach and believes health encompasses everything from our physical and mental health to our emotional and spiritual health.

Christen learned about Dog Tag from her husband, who encouraged her to apply. She hopes to gain new knowledge and skills that empower her to follow her passions. She is excited for the challenge and growth that will take place during the Dog Tag Fellowship.

For Christen it is hard to pick just one favorite baked good, as she has quite the sweet tooth. If she had to narrow it down, she would have to say raspberry oat bars or a warm cookie.
