Brandon Jonescu was born in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. Shortly after, his family moved to Arizona where he was raised. At sixteen, he left his local high school and enrolled in a military school run in conjunction with the Arizona National Guard where he received a GED and a scholarship to local community college upon completion. Brandon began working for a fast-food restaurant while going to college until the unfortunate events of 9/11 took place. As many others did, he felt called to stand up and defend our nation. Being only seventeen years old, Brandon had to get parental consent to join the Army. He shipped off to bootcamp at seventeen and half.

Brandon landed in HWB 3rd Squadron 3rd Armored Calvary Regiment where he served one tour in the Al Anbar province 2003/2004. In 2005, Brandon left the Army and tried his hand at civilian life where he married his wife Daneesha and had his first daughter. As a panicked first-time father contemplating how to care for his new family, Brandon joined the Navy Reserves as a Seabee with NMCB-17.

Brandon was deployed back to Iraq in March of 2008, where he sustained injuries and was medically evacuated to Germany. In 2010, Brandon was medically retired from his injuries. Since then, Brandon tried to find his identity through education and employment with no success until 2015. In 2015, Brandon started a non-profit to provide service dogs for veterans and first responders with PTSD/TBI. In 2020, the non-profit dissolved as there was a lack of funding due to the pandemic. As a result, Brandon’s wife began breeding Goldendoodles and Bernedoodles in hopes to continue to be able to donate puppies for service work, which became their family business - Beautiful Doodles 4 U.

Brandon was brought to Dog Tag through Wounded Warrior Project. Brandon hopes to gain more knowledge in business in hopes to further support his wife and their family business and/or a future venture.

Brandon’s favorite baked good is croissants and biscuits.
