Aric Vander Werff

Aric Vander Werff grew up in Beaver Dam Wisconsin before moving to Madison in 1995 to go to college at the University of Wisconsin – Madison, graduating with a BS in History. He joined the WI Air National Guard in 2001 as an F-16 Avionics technician. Aric retired in December 2025 after over 24 years of service in the Air Force as a Master Sergeant. MSgt Vander Werff heard about Dog Tag during a Boots to Business course at Great Lakes Naval Air Station. He was impressed by the program, and after some thought decided to apply for the summer 2026 Fellowship. After being accepted to the program, he hopes to hone his entrepreneurial ideas into a business venture that will carry him into his retirement years. Although narrowing down a favorite baked good is difficult, the classic cake donut with vanilla frosting and sprinkles is on the top of his list.
