Summer 2020

Anthony M. Stone was born in St. Paul, Minnesota. After graduating high school, he joined the United States Army and served for seven and a half years as a military police officer. During his military career he was stationed at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky; Ft. Knox, Kentucky; Gissen Army Depot, Germany; and Ft. Wainwright, Alaska. His military career ended after being medically discharged due to ongoing medical issues.

Anthony wanted to continue to serve his country and obtained employment with the Veteran Affairs Medical Center, Disabled American Veterans, and the Veteran Affairs Regional Office. Noticing that he still had a burning desire to work in law enforcement, he pursued his degree and started working with veterans in the criminal justice system. His experience included working as a jailor, a senior court clerk for veterans’ court, a veterans’ court probation officer, and a probation/parole officer for sex offenders.

Though he continues to deal with his military-related injuries, he has decided that he’s not quite ready to give up the fight of helping other veterans. He’s hoping to learn all he can from the amazing people at Dog Tag Inc. and Georgetown University, and find a way to once again help his fellow veterans. He plans to use the knowledge he’s obtained this far, his education, his life experience, and his love for cooking to help a lost veteran find their way home. Anthony is a single father of two adult children.
