Andrea Ruiz

Andrea Ruiz is an Army veteran and entrepreneur. Originally from Nevada, she earned her Master's in Human Services from Purdue Global University, where she served as president of the Human Services Club. During her Army service as a hygienist, Andrea received a presidential award for multiple suicide-prevention interventions. Her path was later redirected by chronic illness, which became the foundation of her advocacy. Andrea came to Dog Tag for the business training and community she needed to launch and grow the independent living facility for Veterans. From Dog Tag, she hopes to gain practical business fundamentals, mentorship, and a network of fellow veterans and caregivers who understand both service and reinvention. Her favorite baked good would be vanilla cream danish or NY style cheescake.
