Alison Keller is originally from Charleston, South Carolina, but thanks to the US Army, this military spouse has called many places home. These days she’s living outside of Washington, DC with her husband Shawn, their youngest daughter, Charlie, and their dachshund, Ralphie. Alison is also a proud ARMY mom, as her oldest, Sarah is now serving.
Alison’s background is in broadcasting. She hosted a radio show for many years, during which time she enjoyed serving her community over the airwaves. After multiple moves and a battle with breast cancer, Alison left that world behind. Today she works part time for a defense contractor and enjoys painting, being in her kitchen, and preparing for her husband’s upcoming retirement.
Alison learned about the Dog Tag Fellowship Program through a friend and alumni member. The program sounded like the perfect opportunity at the perfect time. She hopes to find new purpose for herself and an outlet for her creativity and passions in life.
Alison and her husband just settled on their forever home so at the conclusion of this program they will be relocating back to the Carolinas. She looks forward to putting her new skills to work and baking her favorite focaccia in the foothills of North Carolina.
