Abi Quackenboss-Karpf is a Wisconsin native and a 2015 graduate of Ripon College. She was commissioned as a Cryptologic Warfare Officer in the US Navy in 2016. Abi served at Maryland and San Diego duty stations until her resignation in early-2021.

As both a Navy veteran and spouse, Abi learned of the Dog Tag Fellowship Program through mentorship from other Naval Officers. She immediately knew the universe was conspiring for her. With a passion for community, service, and social enterprise, Abi will apply what she learns from the program to start her own small business with her best friend, Ashley (another Navy veteran). They plan to build and operate a coffee house and bakery of their own in Maryland. Although Abi loves to be in the kitchen, covered in flour, she is looking forward to learning the administrative side of running a small business – hopefully there will be lots of spreadsheets!

In their spare time, Abi and her husband LT Brandon Karpf enjoy perusing antique stores, playing board games, reading, gardening, baking and cooking, and spending time with their German shepherd, Mango.

Abi’s favorite baked good is… impossible to decide. But she most enjoys baking pies, scones, and palmiers.
