Sharing a Special Announcement
Dear Members of the Dog Tag Community
After more than 13 extraordinary years, I’ve made the decision to transition out of my role as CEO of Dog Tag. Leading this organization has been one of the greatest privileges of my life—a journey defined by purpose, transformation, and meaningful impact. And most importantly, by you.
Our Strong Foundation
This decision comes at a moment of strength. Dog Tag is in its most solid position yet—with a strong financial foundation, a clear strategic roadmap, and a deeply committed team ready to carry our mission forward. Healthy transitions happen from a place of stability and vision, and that’s exactly where we stand today.
This strength is a direct reflection of our entire community: team members, board, fellows, alumni, donors, partners, and supporters who have shaped this journey and made Dog Tag the transformative force it is today.
Transition Process
I will continue serving as CEO until the Board selects our next leader in early 2026, ensuring continuity and stability throughout the process. Dr. Sharon Bannister, our exceptional board member and Search Committee Chair, is partnering with LeaderFit—a premier executive search firm specializing in mission-driven organizations—to lead a comprehensive and inclusive search. We’ll be sharing the job posting in the coming weeks and would be grateful for your support in helping Dog Tag find its next leader.
I’m filled with gratitude for your belief, partnership, and unwavering commitment to our mission. The future of Dog Tag has never been brighter.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Meghan Ogilvie
