Chicago Senior Program Manager

Jerilyn Lim-Leonard

Jerilyn believes that equity in opportunity leads to transformative change. As a military spouse of 18 years, she is deeply passionate about cultivating inclusive spaces where the diverse members of the military community can thrive. As Dog Tag’s Senior Program Manager, Jerilyn is committed to delivering a quality Fellowship program that empowers its Fellows with the tools, knowledge, guidance and support to successfully realize their passion and purpose.

She joins Dog Tag with 16 years of experience in human services and event management and runs her own event planning business. She recently completed Blue Star Families Campaign for Inclusion's DEPLOY Fellowship where one of the highlights of her experience was developing Project Bridge Strong - a year-round sponsorship program intended to bridge the gap between the 18,000 recruits, students and military and Veteran families of Naval Station Great Lakes and their civilian neighbors.

When she is not working, Jerilyn is what her family, lovingly, refers to as a “professional volunteer”; devoting much of her free time to community outreach initiatives with military and Veteran supportive organizations, as well as to her local civilian community, serving on equity teams and as a head football coach for a local youth league. She loves quality time with her family, spontaneous road trips and enjoys a good street fair!

Jerilyn's favorite baked good is a cold slice of ube roll cake - a traditional Filipino chiffon cake made with purple yam - with whipped cream icing!
