Mary Niang, Class of 2014


Mary Niang was born on October 12, 1985 in Senegal, West Africa. She came to the United States in her junior year in High School; being a diplomat’s daughter, Mary lived in various parts of the world. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting in 2011 from Saint Josephs University. She speaks four languages. She served in the United States Army from 2011 to 2013 and now suffers from a few service-connected diseases. From 2007-2011, she owned and ran “Classic Supply Chain”, specialized in appearance enhancement and beauty services based in Staten Island, New York. She is a founder of a non-profit organization called “Her Right To Literacy” for underprivileged females in Africa. She aspires to bring a positive change in the lives of millions across the globe.
